Today is one of those days where in this quote makes perfect sense .. stay cool, be lazy and enjoy the moment. Summer reminds me of popsicles, walking to get ice cream or a cool refreshing lemonade with friends. When I was younger my friends and I would lie in the grass in my backyard and stare up at the clouds .. watching them as they floated by .. making up stories, basking in the fresh cut grass, embracing the art of day dreaming!
So whatever you may decide to do today .. be happy! Embrace the season, make new friendships, try something new .. be adventurous! Love life! ❤
My friend across the pond, posted on her own blog this morning about “asking for help” and how difficult it was to do so, she was asking for others to share their experiences and so I did. Asking for help is a lot like “knowing you took a step in the right direction” .. when you finally arrive at the place where ‘you’ no longer judge yourself. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of strength & growth! .. “a step towards the future where everything that you never thought was possible, is possible.” We are all on a journey, if we continue to put one foot in front of the other, slowly but surely we’ll get to our destination & where we want to be. ❤

Change has been brewing in my soul for quite some time. I’ve waited, ever patient for ‘good’ to happen, blossom, bloom, transform within. There’s a feeling of transformation happening and I’m glad to finally see darkness turn to light. ‘Better things come to those who are patient and the best things come to those who don’t give up.’ So, keep on believing in yourself, your dreams, stride on .. beautiful things in life don’t come quickly, they come once the seed is planted, the cocoon formed .. it only blossoms when ready. ❤

What does that mean you say? Often times, in the busy bustle of life we forget ourselves, putting the needs of others ahead of our own. Is there something you’ve been wanting to do but haven’t? Going to a yoga class, taking that walk in the park, having tea with a friend, going for a swim? Being gentle with yourself is essential to self-care. If you’re the kind of person who does nothing but go, go, go .. take a few minutes to breathe, meditate, closing your mind off from the societal noise. Is this new to you? Yes? Well, think about and commit to setting aside 5 minutes out of your day .. just for you and add onto that time. I’ve never been one for meditating, but it’s something I want to try. Is there something new you want to try but haven’t taken the leap? I say, take that “leap of faith!” Go for it! Be blessed with what you have, but always be open to new experiences. Life has much to teach us if we’re open to learning! ❤

My mother passed away 2 1/2 years ago. She was a wise courageous strong woman who lived by her convictions and wasn’t afraid to say no to life, or pursuing her dreams. She was an amazing single mother and I owe so much to her. She continues to inspire me, even though she’s physically gone, her vivacious spirit lives on and can be seen in the wonders of mother nature, whether it be a blue dragonfly or a monarch butterfly coming by for a visit. I’ve been told I am blessed to have the spirit of my Mom so close. Whenever I am stressed or worried, she’ll come to me in my dreams, reassuring me I am on the “right” path and to not give up. I dream’t of her last night and today I got some wonderful news. This goes to show, never give up on the spirits of loved ones passed .. the more open you are to receiving their energy, the more so there’s an opportunity for them to “visit.” Before my Mom passed away we spoke of what we’d like to come back to earth as .. she said: “Butterflies or my dog ..” .. so as I watch my dog Nola play, I laugh and smile .. knowing my Mom is never far. I miss my Mom, but am happy knowing she’s here with me in spirit. Hug and tell those close to you, you love them because you never know the next time you may have that chance. ❤
